Classical mathematics and astronomy; instruments (e.g. Jantar Mantar); metallurgy and materials; civil and hydraulic engineering; architecture and vāstu as historical practice and texts; medical tradition as history of texts and practice with evidence-status framing.

Out of scope / common mistakes

“Ancient Indians already knew modern X” without text or artifact; “5,000-year-old medical science” slogans; wellness efficacy claims; inflating “first in the world” when the careful local achievement is the real story.
